Editorial policy
How the writing on this site is researched, checked and kept up to date.
What we write about
Sleep, and the techniques behind the tools on this site. Articles explain what is known, what is not, and what is reasonable to try on your own. They are wellness information, not medical advice.
Sources
Claims about research are based on published studies, clinical guidelines and reviews, and each article lists its sources in full at the foot of the page. Where the evidence is thin, small or mixed, we say so in plain words.
Claims we will not make
- That anything here treats, cures or prevents insomnia or any other condition.
- That a technique will work for everyone, or every night.
- That you should stop or change a treatment without speaking to your doctor.
Updates and corrections
Articles show the date they were last updated. When research or guidance changes, we revise the article and update the date. If you spot a mistake, write to hello@sleepybirds.com and we will correct it.
Independence
There are no adverts, no affiliate links and no sponsored content. Nobody pays for coverage, and nothing on the site is for sale.
Safety
Every article and tool ends with a note about when to talk to a doctor. The help pagecovers the signs that a sleep problem needs more than a tool.
