Privacy

The short version: no accounts, no cookies, no tracking beyond an anonymous visit count, and nothing about your sleep leaves your device.

On your device

The tools run in your browser. Nothing about a session — what you picked, how long it ran, whether you paused — is recorded or sent anywhere. To save you setting things up each time, your browser's local storage keeps a few preferences:

  • light or dark theme, and whether the screen is dimmed;
  • voice on or off for each tool, the voice you chose, and its speed and volume;
  • tool settings such as pace, number of breathing cycles, session length, and your last wake-up time;
  • the day you draw in “Where your day goes” on the calculator: the blocks, their times, and how long you take to fall asleep.

Your shuffle seed word is not stored. Your quiz answers are not stored or sent: the result is worked out in your browser.

You can clear all of this at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

Voices

Spoken words use your browser's own speech. Some browsers offer online voices, marked “online” in the voice list; if you choose one, your browser sends the words it speaks to its provider. We pick an on-device voice by default when there is one. The breathing and paradoxical intention tools use recordings instead, made with an AI voice, that load from this site like any image, so nothing is sent anywhere to play them.

Visits

We count visits with Plausible Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. It tells us which pages are read, not who reads them. That is the only analytics on the site, which is why there is no cookie banner.

If you give us your email

After the quiz you can choose to get an occasional note by email. If you do, your address is sent to Buttondown, the service that sends it, and you will get one email asking you to confirm. Your quiz result is not attached to your address. Every email has a one-tap unsubscribe link, and we never share or sell your address.

  • What is kept: your email address, the date you signed up and confirmed, and a tag saying it came from the quiz.
  • Why: only to send you the note you asked for, at most once a month.
  • Legal basis: your consent, which you give by confirming and can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing or writing to us.
  • How long: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Then it is removed from the list.
  • Where: Buttondown is a company in the United States, so your address may be stored outside Europe. Its privacy policy explains how it protects the data it holds.

Fonts and hosting

Fonts are served from this site, not from a third party. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which handles requests to it and may briefly keep technical logs, such as IP addresses, for security.
